Ward Halloween Party

So, I know it wasn't the most creative attempt I could have made, but at least I tried. Jeff and I attended our ward Halloween party last night obviously dressed as a nurse and her 'head injured' patient. The kids kept asking me if I was a doctor. I kept trying to assure them that, "No I am not a doctor, I am a nurse." One young child said, "Daddy! Daddy! Doctors make more money than nurses, don't they daddy!" I just chuckled, grabbed my hot dog and left. I don't even think that kid is in our ward. In fact, I don't think half of the people there have ever been to church. I was sort of surprised at what the parents let their kids wear for a church activity. There were 3 probably 10 year-old boys dressed as girls with padded bras, make-up, purses... the works! A probably 6 year-old girl wore her halter top swimming suit with a hula skirt, another girl had on a short minidress, and a few other girls had spaghetti straps. I guess the lecture on modesty and being examples to our children lecture was not much of an influence in R.S.

That is so great, that is exactly what Paul and I went as last year. It's so easy! We didn't get to go this year of course, but that is funny that we both did the same thing! Happy Halloween!

Are you serious about all the inappropriate costumes? that's so sad. I never would have had the guts to do that when I was younger! Seriously, we have had so many lessons on that in R.S. Crazy.
