I was never like that... Honest!

Well I attended my first YM/YW combined activity this week. WOW! I forgot how crazy they can be. I was assigned to bring the hot chocolate and roughly 3 dozen sugar cookies (I had never made these before, yeah I know... thanks for your help mom!). Anyway, when I got to the YW President's home there were 3-4 frosting stations with probably 10 kids each and almost a million sugar cookies with probably 2 inches of frosting a piece and loaded with candy and sprinkle decor. After the decorating was complete and the plates were loaded, we spit off into 2 groups and went caroling. Now I know why my teachers used to ask for 12-inch whispers. I don't really understand why each child needs to yell at the top of their lungs to communicate with the boy or girl she or he is standing 6 inches away from. There was a boy that towered over me and was roughly 200 lbs that did the 'my arms are heavy and my feet are slow and my head is moving forward faster than my feet' sort of run around 2 mini vans WHILE we were caroling at a home. And to top it all off he was screaming, "Ghost, Ghost!" I just kept thinking, Halloween is over buddy! What the heck is going on? Maybe he is having a hard time realizing that it is actually December like myself. Yeah! That's it! He probably just didn't realize that the Holidays are here and that the green and red and white on the hundreds of sugar cookies he just decorated means that it is now Christmastime!

Hey! I saw your link on Melissa's blog. This is Tyler's wife. So you are in Young Women's? I'm the second counselor here. It's such a fun busy stressful calling!

Diana! Wow I haven't talked to you in a long time. How in the world are you? Your blog cracked me up. I never thought I was that dumb as a teenager but I am sure I was. I love blogs. I get to talk to people I never thought I'd see again.
