They're gettin' to know me...
So when I worked on Monday, it was another one of "those days" when I wonder why I ever decided to be a nurse. All four of my patients needed me at the same time it seemed like all day long and everything seemed to pile up by the end of the shift. Every time the phone rang I knew it was going to be for me along with every call light and bed alarm! A group of co-workers asked if I was okay and I finally verbalized "no" instead of the usual "not really, but I will be" or some other lame answer. The secretary leaned over and said to all of us, "I think Diana needs to go home to a stiff drink of hot chocolate after the type of day she has had!" That was enough to just make me sit back and laugh for a minute or two. She was the first person that changed the beverage from wine or margarita to something I actually drink on occasion. Seems like most people by now have figured out that I never have and will not begin to drink coffee (proof of this was when I had to ask the secretary to help me put on a pot of coffee for the first time), I don't go to happy hour, no matter how mad I am I never cuss and I don't order take-out on "the Sabbath". Besides the co-worker that continually thinks I am Jewish instead of LDS, seems like everyone is picking up fairly quickly.

Di, what a great opportunity to get out of this little valley! Way to go bein' true. By the way, I love your template...where did you get it?
Diana, I'm so glad that you found my blog and that you left a comment. I'm also glad to see that you're having fun and enjoying your new job. I'm sure they love you as much as everyone at LRh does. I'm excited to stay in touch.
Hey Di!
I can totally relate to people looking at you like an alien if you don't drink coffee or liquor! All of my co-workers are Jewish here so I am learning about Hanukuh :) We have to say "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". It is sooo weird!
di it sounds like your job is stressful, how are you liking it? good luck!
