Moving back home...

Ok mom, don't get too excited! When I say home, I mean back with the moms and babies. I was hired as a Labor & Delivery nurse today at Chandler Regional Hospital! I start August 11th.
I have really missed working with moms and babies. If there is anything I'll miss from my old job I'll tell you right now it won't be trach's, C-Diff or bed alarms. I am excited to be working with people who know where they are and why they are in the hospital. There are definately some sad things that I will see in my work, but I am super excited for the change.

Although I really loved post-partum, I feel as a new nurse that is still developing, I need a challenge. When things go wrong in L&D they happen fast. I will get a chance to work in the Operating Room and to learn a whole new set of skills. I can't wait!

Di, you would be the best L and D nurse! It takes an amazing person to do that job, and you'd be great!

Aaron isn't sure if he'll apply in AZ or not. I guess they have a rolling admission and his pre reqs don't exactly match up. When he gets home I'll ask him which school it is and I'll let you know!

I think you would be great. I only wish you would be up here so that next time I have a babe you could be there! Good luck!

That will be so fun, I'm jealous. You will be so great and it sounds like you will love a change. Is it a different hospital than where you are now? Paul always wears holy (sp?) socks, I am always discarding them!

That will be so fun. I did postpartum for awhile and think I'll give it a go at L&D if I ever go back to work. You'll be great!

Yeah! You mentioned you would like to do that before I left - good for you, you will be awesome (not like the nurse I had when I delivered Gage - argh she was so MEAN.) Too bad I'm not is AZ anymore maybe you would have been my nurse... we are having baby number 3 in January!
