Well, we did it!
We had to read a whole textbook worth of attourney jargon, but we got it over with. We signed for our house today and handed over the dough. When I went to the bank to get a cashier's check, I felt like I was stealing. I had sort of a cheesey, grin on my face. The guy asked me how much I needed it for and I didn't dare say it out loud so I asked to write it down. Then of course he said it back to me in a loud voice. I was praying someone wouldn't jump me as I made it back to the car.
Here she is. This was the day of the walk through last Friday. The picture is too small to tell, but there are a bunch of pieces of blue tape on the house labeling things to be fixed. We also found that the strip up front by the road will be landscaped by the HOA once all the homes on our street are complete. There will be grass and trees, so we've been told anyway.
My wonderful husband started this mess yesterday. Thanks for your hard work Jeff! We packed maybe 3 boxes over General Conference weekend and never got back to it.

I can't believe this is your "starter" home. I hope to be in a home like this SOMEDAY :) I'm totally jealous, but you guys also totally deserve it! I've tried to imagine myself with your schedule and just KNOW I wouldn't have the endurance that you do. Enjoy this, and Congrats!

I showed Emm and Kenna the picture of your new house. Emm said, "Wow, I wish we had one of those!" Pretty funny! We were at a friends house the other day and they have a a big play set in their backyard. I heard Emmalee telling their little girl, "Your playground is really cool. I wish I could have one, but. . I don't have a house." It was so sad. YOu could tell the little girl felt bad for her, like she was homeless or something.
Well, we are so excited for you and can't to come see it!
