So, the first week in our new ward, in Priesthood of course where I can't monitor all of his actions, Jeff ruins our rep by one simple phrase... "Go Utah!" Not that he actually is a die hard Utah fan, but who else is there to choose from when USU sucks at football and BYU is BYU. It seems every AZ resident who is LDS and has gone to college has made it to BYU. So when people asked him where he moved here from, and he states Logan, Utah, it seems 99.9% of the time the response from people is, oh, yeah, I went to BYU, then Jeff says "Go Utah!" So the second week we go to church, we take a seat in Sunday School and a woman says, are you guys new... oh, you are the Utah fans. Nice.
So, as Jeff determined, his mismatching tie, scruff, and "GO UTAH" spurts are most likely to land us the calling we listed as our favorite (librarians, every other week I might add) vs. other more time consuming positions.

Oh, Di, that doesn't ruin your rep--it makes you BETTER! I knew I really liked Jeff for a reason. Just think, you've probably opened the door for all of those closet fans who have never dared be anything but a BYU fan. They will thank you later...:)
Um, yeah, good luck with the getting the callings your want. Believe me, they know who you really are..they always know! (And Bishop Lemuix fills them in right away!)
You need to follow my lead when it comes to church...sit at the very back, don't look up from your scriptures/hymn book, and lay low and you don't get a calling (but don't tell anyone in my ward it's been about 9 months and I am still in the clear!!!) i know that is so bad but that is my strategy and it is working so far, so i am sticking to it!!!! :)
That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of of! Utah is so lame, and their fans are even lamer. Tell Jeff that he has no reason to cheer for Utah, and that I will give my X-Box to the DI if he can tell me the name of their quaterback, or if he's watched a single game this year! Foolish!
Jeff really has the new ward business thing down! He doesnt mess around at all. Too bad you probably will get Elders Quorum president and Relief Society teacher... because your so righteous and all.

Oh, don't worry. When we moved to our new ward they found out I was a teacher and put me in Primary. It is fun though. At least you and Jeff get to be with each other at church. They will soon see how AMAZING you are and stick you somewhere really fun like YOUNG WOMENS!!
