So my family was able to fly in the night before the big day. It was good to have people there. The ceremony wasn't too exciting. The doctorates were the only ones to individually walk across the stage. I was glad. If everyone were to walk, it would have taken forever. All other grads were recognized by class. One thing I was slightly ticked about is that although my hard work and awesome GPA qualified me for Summa Cum Laude status, I did not receive a cord. Apparently this is because I needed more credits from ASU where most of my credits were received from Weber. I figured nobody was going to tell me to sit down, so when they recognized those who graduated with Summa status, heck yes, I stood up! Ha! Those late nights finally paid off.
Jeff also graduated with a great GPA earning Magna Cume Laude status. My bro-in-law noticed in the commencement book that his name was about the only one you could pronounce correctly in his class. Jeff was relieved when his thesis was complete. He was told that his thesis was the best written work they had ever seen and the faculty in his program keep bugging him to get a doctorate.
We had a great time with my family down here. Lots more room on this go around at the house. There was lots of good food, movies, games and shopping. We were also able to go to a fun Christmas play at the Hale Centre Theatre. Thanks Mom and Dad for bringing the family down!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so happy for you both. It sounds like you are staying busy and P.S. your house looks great! Don't worry...it will all come together and the yellow doesn't look bad, but I don't see it everyday like you do. Good luck.
Congratulations to both you and Jeff. That's awesome. Good work on the house ... I am going to have to remember your tips on painting sections. We have some paint jobs in the plans here, too.
